Westernised Victory…
When Steve and I developed the concept behind Planet Industrials and our first ready to run model we wanted to stay true to our roots…
Here you can see the prototype etch applied to one of our engineering samples. The etch simply flies over the existing bodywork. The front edge of the tank will then need filling and smoothing to get the square edge.
As kit designers and developers it seemed natural to offer conversion kits for the Victory. Whilst the Lambton conversion was shown at Warley the GWR riveted tanks have taken a touch longer to design and prototype.
With the size now proven there are one or two small adjustments to make but we’re pretty close to being able to offer this alongside the relevant etched plates. Customers will need to source their own safety valve and decide how far to go, as I believe they also received a GWR pattern dome as well. As Victory itself strips down to component parts without drama heavy duty modification of the boiler casting can be done without damage to the plastic bodywork.
Sign up on the Planet Industrials website or a Facebook page to find when this will be released. For now all versions are still in limited stock at Light Railway Stores. Until next time, more soon
