Having worked on a pair of the characterful Farish ‘new tool’ N gauge Ckass 37 over the holidays (more on those another time) I’ve been enjoying transforming these toys into miniatures that communicate the weight and mass of their prototype…

Lowered left, standard right.

The majority of the ‘heavy lifting’ in this transformation is actually the lowering of the body on the chassis which in just a few minutes completely lifts, sorry, lowers the appearance!

Just because it is small doesn’t mean we should write things off as too hard, too fiddly or too small.
