2024 the year in numbers…
It is difficult to comprehend that during 2024 my blog has been read over 700000 times (up from 450000 last year) and you've engaged with content through comments (including my replies) 1345 times (up from 727)...

Nearly a doubling in traffic - thank you for all of your support over these past twelve months. I’ve a little less time this year to write a wrap up of the year but to cover the basics well do a top 2024 top 5 and then touch on the all time greats…
Number 5 - Commission: Layout refurbishment
Number 2 - Commission: Rushcliffe Halt in OO
Number 1 - Commission: Urban Switching Shelf
It is always interesting to reflect on these numbers, because this year three commissions made the top 5 - and not those that I thought might peak the greatest interest! Lovely to see the Compendium in there, to be honest, that probably is my hilight of the year - limited in print run but such a personal project that many of you bought into - more will follow in 2025.
All time two new entries, ‘Frivolous Ffestiniog’ at Number 2 and ‘An ode to Snell Island’ new at the top.
'Creech Bottom at Great and Small', having been number 1 for the past 3 years is now third!
Looking ahead in brief, I’ve some exciting commissions planned (space for more though if you’re interested in working with me - do get in touch sooner rather than later), two books in hand and ideas for a video project too - perhaps some more ready to run too? We shall see! Until then, thank you once again and see you in the new year!

Support my work
I love writing and creating material for the blog. If you enjoy what you read and engage with I would be appreciative of any donation, large or small, to help me keep it advert and restriction free. Alternatively, feel free to buy me a coffee.
I think the cut down can 08 was the highlight for me this year James. And recieving Compendium too. Oh, and the new book! The printed material really adds another dimension to the blog. Have a happy New Year. Look forward to what you do in 2025. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom! You’ll be excited to hear I do plan to do another ‘Pont Dulas’ sized box for the 08 and HEA!
