Barclay at the old peat works…
I was sorting through some old photos recently and discovered this snap which much have been taken at the old peat works at the birth of the preservation era…Outside the small workshop sits the infamous Jag that has since been restored, and the well travelled Andrew Barclay. From lead mines in Scotland, reservoir building in North West England to slate quarries in Wales, about to enter a well earned retirement…
This is of course a staged scene on my 009 micro layout Kisten Torfwerk, with the prototype well tank and a modified Oxford Diecast jag ‘We’ve gone on holiday by mistake!’. More soon…
