Creech Grange: Wiring progress…

Over the weekend I had the opportunity for a lazy Sunday morning and rather than work on the Canadian project, I decided to press forwards with Creech Grange, my new 009 micro box layout...

With Kirsten Torfwerk at a new home in Northern Ireland, the layout build now feels like it's got a permanent home, in the old layouts box! I've wired in a rotary switch, as suggested by Charlie a few weeks ago, and this controls each of the shed roads. The sector plate is permanently powered from the main loop. I've done a longer than usual video talking and demonstrating this, I'm not sure I'm personally keen on it, but often the feedback is better than I imagine, fingers crossed.

If you've not got much space at home, perhaps consider an 009 layout, and if I can help either design or construct it get in touch for a proposal. Until next time, more soon...

  1. This is brilliant James. I've been thinking about doing something small in 009 for my son for a while now, so that he can have it in his bedroom, plug it in and run trains (Rheneas and a couple of four wheelers). I was thinking of something 'tea tray' size. Right, so that's another project to start on.
