The car, I presume a Mk4 Cortina, rasises a coiple pof points. One is how to model chromework without it being overpowering. Another is where highlights and sahdows fall on the bodywork, given that most castings lack the subtle curves. I've sometimes wondered if it is worth adopting model figure painting techniques that artificially enhance shadow and highlight areas. I know that professional car photographers also use dulling sprays to emphasise the body lines.
I am planning on dulling down the bodywork - its box fresh at present. I’ve even pondered doing the glazing as that might remove the awkward reflections from the styrene.
