At rest at Creech Barn…
The collection of ‘European’ narrow gauge at Creech Barn makes it one of those ‘Statfold-esque’ preserved railways in the UK…
Perhaps more Bredgar in scale, the railway on the Creech Grange estate near Norden in Purbeck is home to both steam and diesel, gathered from Europe as well as European made locomotives beyond. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area at the time of one of the rare open days, even for just the chance to ride in the carriages, replicas of the Ffestiniog’s bug boxes.
Until next time, more soon…
