Deserve Victory...

If you’ve signed up to the newsletter you’ll have seen the first photos of our Planet Industrials ‘Kerr, Stuart Victory’...

This is such an exciting milestone for Steve and I, the first physical realisation of a project we’ve been working on for nearly 18 months. It surpasses even our expectations, weighing in close to 240g, central sprung axle, cast detailed rods with real presence, fully detailed cab, fine rivet detail... the artwork is nearly ready for signing off and then we’ll be even excited, decorated sample! I can’t wait to see the IW&D livery...

If you’ve not signed up to the email, do so, as we share everything with our subscribers first, and note there isn’t much longer to take advantage of the pre-order price! Get ordering... more soon...

  1. James,
It is looking very good. Well done to you and Steve. How feasible will it be to regauge these to EM standards please.

    1. Thanks Geoff, we’re really pleased. I need to confirm the axle diameter, as a minimum you would need to press off the wheels, replace the axles and fit spacers to restrict the side play. The pickups and beaker shoes would also need adjustment. However, I’m not sure if that’s possible, with the wheel axle interface. I’m afraid regauging wasn’t a design requirement for us, rather a reliable and finely detailed chassis. The wheel sets are quite distinctive with their balance weights slightly offset, but I’m sure something suitable could be adapted from Gibson etc.
