Meadow Lane, Mollington Works...
A trip down to Meadow Lane this morning found the two Sentinel shunters at the Mollington Works stabled on shed...
Number 1 must be away elsewhere, as a third has arrived this week, rather than Number 3, it's actually rather aptly been labelled 'C' by a previous owner. As Number 1, it's a rod drive whereas Number 2 is a chain drive example. These are the workhorses of this short industrial concern, regularly shuttling tank wagons between the works and the interchange with British Rail.
Of course, these are both lightly modified Hornby Sentinel models, with RT skirts and Shawplan glazing. Number 2 features the Pi decals and 'C' the forthcoming detailing kit. We've had a wet day in North Wales, so I've been working on a new project which I'll share more on soon. In the meantime I hope these photos have rounded off your weekend nicely, it was fun making them earlier. More soon...
